I recently attended a mixed media workshop by artist, Sandra Duran Wilson, in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The workshop was a wonderful opportunity to learn about creating texture using a variety of materials. I also learned how to do gel and paint transfers using my original sketches (more on that later). This is a close-up of one of the surfaces I made using different acrylic mediums.
Today, the sunny sky and cool temperatures made the walk in the marsh very nice.Even better, there were no mosquitoes or gnats! Sean’s boots were sketched on location but watercolor was added later.
Early yesterday, I watched the de-icing of a 737 from the lounge area of gate A-8. I wasn’t the only one finding the operation fascinating. A little boy pressed his face up against the glass of the big windows to get a better look!
